How to sign your forms correctly

USCIS requires an original, handwritten ("wet") signature on paper. Digital signatures, typed names, pasted images of a signature, or stamps are not accepted and can get a filing rejected. Print the package first, then sign with a pen in black ink. Each applicant aged 14 or older signs their own I-539 (and I-539A if a co-applicant); for a child under 14 a parent or legal guardian signs. The statement letter and any payment form are signed the same way.
